Written like a journal or diary this is a very detailed account of the first six months of a soldier that served as a LRP. Based on the many letters the author wrote home he was able to recreate with great detail not only the operations that he went on but also the daily life back at camp. The bravery and dedication of these men who went out in six man teams constantly out numbered by the NVA and VC can't be recognized and honored enough. This is a very good book to read to give you just a small idea of what they faced.
