I REALLY wanted to give this 5 stars but there were just too many moments I had to set the kindle down and shake my head.LOVED this story though. I would not and will not hesitate to get the next and will look up more from this author. A great blend of sweet and heat, the story was dark and light all mixed together. Really enjoyable and highly satisfying. The Insta-love was there and I thought it was really well done. Ryan's ptsd was handled fairly well and Derek was well written to handle it with dignity. The sexy scenes were INSANE. For reals, like... scorching. Plentiful too.My biggest issue was the world building, or lack thereof. You could piece together sort of the kind of world this story takes place in, but there was A lot of guessing. It sucks you out of the story several times throughout. Really need more information on society and shifter dynamics. Particularly pack dynamics and alpha/omega dynamics. Also didn't like the continued use of the word "knob". Skeeves me out for some reason but that's just me probably.All told I really liked this book. Like, a whole whole heaping lot. Great buy, I will LEAP at the chance for the next one.
